At The Edge Of Paradise, 2025

_______
This series explores the tension between utopia and illusion, where paradise appears both seductive and artificial. Vivid, oversaturated colors—electric blues, molten oranges, and neon pinks—evoke the heightened reality of postcards and screens, turning nature into a curated spectacle. Palm trees and bougainvillea, symbols of tropical escape, are rendered still and hyperreal, their beauty both lush and excessive. Black moons and blazing suns suggest unseen forces and a sense of mystery, while the absence of people reinforces the idea of paradise as a constructed, unreachable mirage. Drawing on art history and contemporary media, the work reflects on how our visions of Eden are shaped by memory, fantasy, and digital imagery.
